These Terms of Service form an agreement between FamilyCasePro and the law firm or attorney using the platform. The person who creates a firm account is the firm manager and is responsible for everyone the firm adds. The platform is intended for licensed attorneys and their authorized staff; clients and other parties use the client portal only as an extension of their own attorney's representation.
FamilyCasePro grants the firm a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the software while the subscription is active. All matter information, documents, calculations and records the firm creates remain the firm's property. We do not claim ownership of it, use it to train products without permission, or disclose it to another firm.
A free trial gives temporary access so a firm can evaluate the platform. Trial access is time-limited and may become read-only at the end of the trial until the platform approves the firm for continued use. Continued access after a trial is on the pricing terms shown on the Pricing page at the time of purchase, and renews until cancelled.
FamilyCasePro is a workflow and calculation tool. It does not provide legal advice, and nothing it produces — a worksheet, a draft pleading, a clause or a checklist — is a legal opinion. Maryland rules, statutory schedules and local requirements change; an attorney must verify every figure and document against the current authoritative source before filing or serving it. Where the platform cannot confirm that its rules data is complete, it will withhold a calculation rather than estimate one.
Do not use the platform to store or process information you are not entitled to hold, to impersonate another person, to interfere with the service, to reverse engineer it, or to upload malicious code. Do not share login credentials. Firm managers are responsible for the conduct of the people in their firm's account.
Access is controlled by authentication and role permissions, and firm data is isolated so that one firm cannot reach another firm's matters. Document storage is private to the firm and signed documents and notarized versions are retained as immutable copies with audit history. No system is perfectly secure; the firm should keep its own backups of anything it cannot afford to lose.
We aim to keep the platform available but do not promise uninterrupted operation. Features may be added, changed or retired. Jurisdictions other than Maryland may appear as planned rather than available, and no calculation should be relied on for a jurisdiction the platform does not show as active.
Either party may end the agreement. The platform may suspend access where required by law, where a firm's use threatens the service or other firms' data, or where payment is not made. On ending access, the firm should export what it needs; retained copies are dealt with as described in the Privacy Policy.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FamilyCasePro is provided without warranties other than those stated in the agreement, and is not liable for lost profits or for outcomes in a matter. Liability arising from the agreement is limited to the fees paid for the affected service in the twelve months before the claim.
These terms may be updated as the platform and the law change; material changes will be announced in the product before they take effect. The Privacy Policy at /privacy-policy forms part of this agreement.
